Engineering the Mayhem - FTC 2025 - Grade 10

Date

August, 2025 to March 2026

Location

Sunnyvale

Role

Hardware Engineer and Driver

Project type

Robotics

Transitioning to Team 15385 for my second FTC season, I stepped into a critical dual-leadership role bridging the gap between mechanical assembly and electrical integration. This season, I spearheaded the engineering of the robot’s primary scoring mechanism: the Projectile Launch System. My responsibility encompassed the full lifecycle of the subsystem—from prototyping the initial intake geometry to finalizing the wire management for the launch motors.

By synthesizing my foundational electrical knowledge with advanced mechanical design, I was able to approach the robot as a cohesive system rather than separate parts. This cross-discipline perspective has been instrumental in our mid-season success, resulting in a reliable, high-scoring robot that places us in strong contention for the State Championships.
